On June 9, 1949, in Amritsar, India, Kiran Bedi was born. She is an Indian social activist. As the first IPS officer in the nation, she started her career as an ASP Assistant Superintendent of Police in Chanakyapuri, Delhi. She worked as an anti-terrorist specialist, a narcotics officer, and an administrator after entering the IPS services. She won the Ramon Magsaysay Award and the President’s Gold Medal in 1979 for her exceptional work with a modern approach.
