Who was the first Female Health Minister in India?Indian activist and politician Dame Rajkumari Bibiji Amrit Kaur lived from 2 February 1887 until 6 February 1964. She served as India’s first health minister from 1947 to 1957 as a result of her protracted involvement in the country’s independence fight. She played a key role in establishing the National Institute of Sports, Patiala, while also serving as minister of sports and urban development. Kaur brought about several healthcare improvements in India during her time there, and she is well-known for both her contributions to the field and her support of women’s rights. Kaur was a part of the Indian Constituent Assembly, which drafted the country’s constitution.
